1. What is Mazuna Home?
Mazuna Home is a premium Egyptian furniture and lifestyle brand rooted in a family wood-trade legacy that began in Giza in 1929. Since 2019, the brand has focused on crafting soulful, long-lasting furniture with strong material character, hand-finished details, and timeless presence.
2. What makes Mazuna Home different from a standard furniture store?
Mazuna Home is built around craftsmanship rather than mass production. Clients come to us for furniture with warmth, individuality, texture, and a clear design point of view – pieces designed to anchor a room and remain meaningful over time.
3. What is Mazuna Home’s design style?
Our style blends contemporary restraint with vintage warmth. The mood is rustic yet refined, organic yet elegant, with touches of French-country influence, African warmth, tribal character, and quietly luxurious texture.
4. What product categories does Mazuna Home offer?
Mazuna Home offers entryways, dining rooms, salons and living rooms, bedrooms, armchairs, statement pieces, and selected home styling items. Our wider lifestyle direction also includes textiles, carpets, bed linens, decorative accessories, floral arrangements, wall art, and cultural art.
5. Are Mazuna Home pieces ready-made or made to order?
Most main furniture pieces are made to order after confirmation. Because many pieces involve selected finishes, fabrics, glass, mirror, upholstery, or hand-painted detailing, each order is treated as a bespoke purchase rather than a standard off-the-shelf item.
6. Can I customize the size, fabric, finish, or details of a piece?
Yes, customization is available where the design and structure allow it. Customers may select fabrics, finishes, wood tones, upholstery directions, glass or mirror options, and certain sizing adjustments, with all confirmed details recorded before production begins.
7. What materials does Mazuna Home use?
Mazuna Home works with natural woods, veneers, upholstery fabrics, genuine leather options, glass, mirrors, and layered hand-finished surfaces. Many pieces are designed to celebrate visible grain, patina, brushed textures, and natural material depth.
8. Are Mazuna Home dining tables made from solid wood?
Many Mazuna Home dining tables are designed with solid wood tops, which is an important quality differentiator for the brand. Solid wood gives weight, durability, natural depth, and a finish that can age beautifully over time.
9. How long does production usually take?
Production usually takes around 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the design, finish, complexity, and workshop schedule. Larger or more intricate collections may take up to approximately 90 days.
10. Why does handmade furniture take this long?
Each piece may pass through several stages, including carpentry, assembly, sanding, hand-finishing, patina work, upholstery, inspection, and final refinement. The goal is not fast production; the goal is a finished piece with depth, proportion, and long-term presence.
11. Will the final fabric look exactly like the swatch or photo?
Fabric swatches and website photos are close visual guides, not exact guarantees. Because textiles vary by dye lot, weave, pile direction, photography, screens, and lighting, the final tone may appear around 10% to 20% lighter, deeper, warmer, cooler, or otherwise slightly different.
12. Will the wood finish look exactly like the sample?
Wood tone may vary even when the same finish is applied to the same wood type. Real wood has grain movement, porosity, density variation, mineral streaking, and different stain absorption, so the final piece should remain within the intended finish family rather than match mechanically.
13. Can I choose a wood tone from a different wood species?
Yes, but a more noticeable variation should be expected. Mazuna Home will try to mimic the requested inspiration, but a finish shown on one species may not reproduce exactly on another wood or veneer because each material absorbs stain, patina, paint, and finishing layers differently.
14. Do leather, glass, and mirror finishes vary as well?
Yes. Genuine leather may vary in tone, grain, imprint, and surface character from one hide or batch to another. Glass and mirror finishes may also appear slightly different depending on tint, reflectivity, daylight, indoor lighting, and screen display.
15. How are sofa cushions and accent cushions selected?
Accent and back cushions are coordinated to complement the main upholstery, but they are not always made from the exact same fabric. Clients may request a color direction, such as beige and off-white, beige and grey, or one or two accent colors; otherwise, Mazuna Home curates a suitable complementary combination.
16. How do I confirm an order?
An order is confirmed once full payment for the furniture value has been received and the order has been formally accepted by Mazuna Home. Customization details, finishes, fabrics, special requests, and estimated completion timing should be documented before production begins.
17. Can I cancel or return a custom order?
Because Mazuna Home pieces are custom-finished, cancellation depends on production stage. Written cancellations within 1-10 calendar days may receive a partial refund with a 30% deduction; cancellations within 11-20 calendar days may receive a partial refund with a 50% deduction; after 20 calendar days, cancellations, modifications, and refunds are generally not accepted, subject to mandatory legal rights for defect, non-conformity, or non-delivery.
18. Do you offer delivery and installation inside Egypt?
Yes. Mazuna Home offers dedicated domestic delivery, with service level based on order size and complexity. Smaller items may use standard dedicated delivery, while full dining rooms, bedrooms, large salons, or multiple heavy pieces may require White Glove Delivery & Installation.
19. How are delivery fees calculated?
Delivery is billed separately from the furniture value. For domestic orders, the final delivery invoice is issued 7 days before dispatch so the fee reflects the order size, delivery zone, access conditions, installation needs, and current logistics rate.
20. Do you ship internationally or to the GCC?
Yes, international and GCC shipping is available on a quotation basis. Larger pieces may be crated, protected, insured, and shipped partially disassembled where needed; customers remain responsible for import duties, customs charges, local taxes, clearance fees, and destination-country governmental charges unless otherwise agreed in writing.
21. What should I check on delivery day?
The customer or authorized receiver should inspect the order before final acceptance. Visible major damage, missing components, broken or dislodged glass, fabric cuts, structural breaks, or serious issues should be reported immediately to the delivery team so they can be documented and handled without delay. Minor transport marks or small scratches may be corrected on-site where feasible, while serious issues may require collection, repair, replacement of the affected component, or further assessment.
22. What happens if my home is not ready to receive the furniture?
If the order is complete but delivery cannot proceed because of customer delay, unpaid delivery invoice, or inability to confirm a delivery window, the order may move into secure holding. Weekly storage fees may apply, starting at EGP 2,000 per week for weeks 1-4, EGP 4,000 per week for weeks 5-8, and EGP 8,000 per week from week 9 up to 3 months, with fees settled before release.
23. Can I visit the Mazuna Home showroom before placing an order?
Yes. Clients may arrange a showroom visit to experience selected pieces, finishes, fabrics, wood tones, proportions, and styling direction in person. Because collections and samples may rotate, we recommend booking an appointment in advance so the team can prepare the most relevant options for your home or project.
24. Does Mazuna Home offer a warranty?
Mazuna Home pieces are handcrafted with care and inspected before delivery. Manufacturing defects or structural issues are assessed case by case in line with applicable Egyptian consumer-protection and durable-goods obligations; natural variations in wood, fabric, leather, glass, mirror, or patina are not considered defects.
25. How should I care for my Mazuna Home furniture?
Keep furniture away from harsh direct sunlight, excessive humidity, standing water, and strong chemical cleaners. Clean with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid abrasives, use coasters and placemats on wood surfaces, and gently vacuum upholstery according to the selected fabric or leather type.
